ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2008-09 SUBMITTTED BY THE PRESIDENT, PAMENCAP, GODAVARIKHANI IN THE GENERAL BODY MEETING OF PARENTS ON 13.06.2009
Dear Parent Members,
It gives me immense pleasure to present the Annual Report on the important achievements/activities of our PAMENCAP, GODAVARIKHANI during the year 2008-2009; it is again a historical year in the feather of PAMENCAP.
We have prepared grant in aid for the year 2008–09 files in 7 sets and submitted to the Asst. Director disabled welfare Karimnagar with all relevant documents total no. of pages is above 220.
The R.D.O Peddapalli Sri V. Sadanandam and Smt R.Nalini Asst Director disabled welfare karimnagar inspected the PAMENCAP/ Manochaitanya records bills, vouchers, donations, and grant received children particulars, teachers qualifications etc. and expressed their happiness about the maintenance and assured for recommending to the collector for forwarding the file to government for sanction of 2008-09 maintain grant.
We have received 85% of the sanctioned grant-in-aid i.e. Rs.12,41,502/- from Ministry of Social justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India, New Delhi, vide sanctioned order no. 22 (1) (11)/2008-DD / V, dated 28.01.20099 in which we also received sanction of furniture for a value of Rs.24,000 books and periodicals, for a value of Rs.5000/- as full and final installment grant with some new sanction of some new posts. The general body meeting whole heartedly conveying sincere thanks to the concerned authorities for extending their valuable support.
The Ministry is exercising 5% cut in the annual grant for the urban organizations which is a great hindrance in the development of our organization. We sincerely appeal the Ministry to exempt from the above cut.
A Medical Camp was organized in Manochaitanya with Dental Surgeon, Physician, Gynecologist, Eye Specialist, for the benefit of all the children in hostel & school. Lot of children benefited with this camp.
On 15th Aug 2008 we have celebrated Independence Day in the Manochaitanya premises in which the Retired G.M Sri M. Pitchaiah as chief guest and hoisted the flag. Later we have attended the Central Function at J.N Stadium, Godavarikhani and our children played a group dance on a patriotic song which was appreciated by one and all.
The President PARIVAAR Mr. J.P. Gadkari, National Federation of Parents Associations Bangalore visited Manochaitanya on 25th & 26th Aug 2008 both Special School & Manochaitanya and conducted parents meeting, press conference and appreciated me and the Manochaitanya as a role model, a wonderful example which is worth emulating by others.
Sri A. Ravindra Babu ex R.D.O Peddapalli visited Manochaitanya and assured for his help.
Sri Kopulla Eshwar M.L.A visited Manochaitanya and performed Bhoomi Pooja for construction of kitchen shed worth of Rs.50,000, sanctioned by Collector with his help, in this connection I made all arrangements.
Sri E. Prathap Reddy Gen. Mazdoor 6A Inc, AITUC Delegate voluntarily donated Rs.10,000/- through C.I. – 1 Town Sri Rajendra Prasad, Sri Y. Gattaiah AITUC President, Sri. M. Dayaker Reddy leader and other invitees also participated. Sri Prathap Reddy promised to donate Rs. 5,000 per year to Manochaitanya in this connection the C.I 1 Town also said that he will make and prepare a big plan for helping Manochaitanya.
As permitted I have visited New Delhi and attended Arunim Inaugural function and also met the Former President Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam & former C& MDs of SCCL Sri A.P.V.N Sharma I.A.S, Secretary Shipping and Sri R.H.Khwaja I.A.S. Additional Secretary environment and explained about the developments of Manochaitanya.
On 01.112008, we have started our Manochaitanya Web site www.manochaitanya.in. With Padma Bhushan Dr. K. Chiranjeevi a famous cine actor who congratulated me and our staff and our children for the noble work we are doing.
Sri Kambhampati Parvathi Kumar, Hon. President(International), Jagadguru Peetam of World Teacher Trust from Vizag visited Manochaitanya and given his divine blessings to the children and staff.
The family members of Mr. K. C. Jain, Sr. President of M/s. Kesoram Cements, Basanthnagar came from KOTA of Rajasthan and given some donation around Rs. 2,500/- and also offered one day meals.
On 3rd Dec., 2008 we have celebrated International Day of Disabled persons in a grand scale in which Smt. K. Sridevi Reddy, Sri K Nagabhushan Reddy / Acting CGM RG-I, Smt. Satyavathi and Sri K. Mallikarjuna Rao, SO to CGM, RG-I blessed the occasion. We have arranged working lunch to the staff, children and parents. Children of the persons with mental retardation participated in cultural and sports and games competitions both at Singareni Collieries Stadium and Municipal office, Ramagundam and prizes were given to all the participants.
Apart from the Manochaitanya Bus, we are able to take Gandhi Junior College Bus – 57seater without paying any hire charges from 7th afternoon to 4.00 AM of 10.12.2008. The special children, parents, staff reached Manuguru on 7.12.2008 at 9.00 PM and participated in the cultural meet and sports at Bhadradri Stadium in which SEWA President Smt. Indira Dattatreyulu, General Manager Sri R. S. Mantri and SEWA President, Manuguru Smt. Shylaja Venkatramaiah and other guests participated. Our children participation in both cultural and sports were appreciated by one and all. We have started to Bhadrachalam to have darshan of Lord Rama on 09.12.2008 at 08.00 AM and after completion of Lunch we have reached Parnashala at 3.00 PM and started from there at 4.00 PM and came back via Manuguru reaching Godavarikhani by 3.00 AM on 10.12.2008.
The National Parents Meet and meeting of the Executive Council and General Body were conducted four days from 13th Dec. to 16th Dec., 2008. I was participated very actively and lot of appreciation for the help of SCCL for giving an advertisement and continuous help to the activity since 1988 was taken place.
On the eve of Singareni Day Celebrations – 2008, a stall of Manochaitanya VTC was provided. The products of the institution was displayed and made sales also. On the final day, our children have given good performance in cultural activities.
On invitation we have attended the TANA (Telugu Association for North America) Cultural & Sports Meet at Hyderabad 27th Dec., 2008. The children won 10 Gold medals and 5 Silver medals. Our cultural activity was appreciated by all the VIPs and VVIPs. On this occasion, I got introduced Sri K. R. Suresh Reddy, AP Legislative Assembly Speaker, the Film Actors Sri Nuthan Prasad, Sri Murali Mohan, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rallapalli, etc. I also took an opportunity to make myself close with the President, TANA Sri Jairam Komati and Sri Damu Gaddela, Sri Visweswara Kalvala etc.
On 01.01.2009 Sri Koppula Eswar, MLA and Snehalatha Eswar and various dignitaries of the society visited the Manochaitanya and started the activity by giving Sweets and Cake to the children. The children enjoyed by making Dance and Music on this occasion.
On 2nd Jan., 2009 the Manochaitanya has completed its 10 years of dedicated service to the cause of Mental Retardation. As decided earlier by PAMENCAP Executive Committee and General Body, we have organized a big function in connection with the decennial celebrations for which Sri A. Manohar Rao, Chief GM, RG-I and Sri Vijajalaxmi Manohar Rao, President SEWA, RG-I, Sri K. Mallikarjuna Rao, SO to CGM, RG-I and Smt. Satyavathi Mallikarjuna Rao, Sri Sudhakar, Dy. GM (Civil) have participated from 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM and witnessed the cultural activities, sons, speeches of special children. CGM, RG-I has inaugurated the Flour Mill and appreciated our activity and assured for further help. We have arranged new stitched School Dress pair for more than 100 children of Sector-I and Manochaitanya costing around Rs. 40,000/- and I am happy to mention that Sri M. N. Tandon of Lions Club, GDK donated Rs.10,000/- and Sitarama Seva Sadan, Manthani donated Rs. 10,000/-.
On 05.01.2009 Sri Nori Narayana Murthy, ardent devotee, Bhagvan Satya Sai and Lord Anjaneya visited Manochaitanya and given a devotional lecture to the children and staff on Maha Bharatha and blessed the children and appreciated the activity.
On 09.01.2009 District level sports & cultural meet was organized by Mano Vikas, Karimnagar at Ambedkar Stadium. We have taken 38 Mentally Challenged children and staff members in our School Bus. Our children got 35 prizes in both sports & cultural meet out of the total 85 prizes given by them. Hon’ble Minister for Roads & Buildings Sri T. Jeevan Reddy, Sri M. Satyanarayana Rao, Chairman/APSRTC, Sri A. Mohan, Chairman ZP/Karimnagar Sri S.K. Sulthania, IAS Dist. Collector, Karimnagar participated in the meet and I have separate memorandum to all the dignitaries for various facilities to be given to the Mentally Challenged children and Minister, Chairman and Collector then and there. Copy of representation and press clippings enclosed for kind perusal. It is pertinent to mention that we have organized a stall with all banners, products of Manochaitanya including Singareni help and awards. The stall was visited by all the dignitaries and the Minister advised the Collector to purchase the stationery from Manochaitanya on regular basis and lift all the stock readily available. The Minister also assured to visit when he comes to Godavarikhani. The Collector appreciated our activity as excellent and signed in Visitors Register and copy enclosed for kind perusal.
With my initiation, an amount of Rs. 50,000/- is about to sanction from the Dist. Collector on the recommendation of MLA Sri Koppula Eswar for Kitchen shed. The construction also completed 80%.
Three idols Sri Bhagavan Shiridi Sai, Saraswathi and Ganesh were installed at the Manochaitanya Hostel with the help of Sri K. C. Jain, M/s. Kesoram Cements.
I have arranged the visit of Mohammed Abdul Azeez, Asst. Engr., Social Welfare, Karimnagar for inspecting the Mid-day Meals shed work.
I have represented to the Collector for purchase of stationery and also for sanctioning of Rs. 2.00 Lakhs for the construction of Kitchen shed. MLA Sri Koppula Eswar is representing the matter to the Collector and hopefully we may get the sanction within a week or two. If it is completed we can serve the meals to the children on the Dining Tables (we have procured the sufficient No. of Dining Tables and Chairs).
On 26-1-2009 on the eve of Republic Day we have celebrated Flag hoisting function in Manochaitanya Premises in a grand scale Sri A.Manohar Rao CGM RG-I came as Chief guest accompanied by Sri.K.Mallikarjun Rao so to CGM-RG-I and our special children presented a group dance on a patriotic song in J.N. Stadium Godavarikhani which was appreciated by one and all.
Our children and Mr. Venkat Ramana, I/C Vocational Instructor actively participated in the National Special Employees Meet at NIMH, Secunderabad.
On 30.04.2008 Mr. A.Balraj, Rtd. I.A.S., Chairman and members of the expert committee for Environmental assessment of the Ministry of Environment and Forests Govt. of India – New Delhi and team members from Govt. of India and State Government visited Manochaitanya and expressed their happiness about the maintenance of the fruit garden and Manochaitanya VTC in an excellent manner.
On 30.04.2009 Dr.A.B. Harpanahalli, Director South, Ministry of environment and Forests visited Manochaitanya along with his team members in connection with the environmental inspection of Govt. of India and expressed his happiness about the maintenance.
We are imparting money concept, color concept and time concept etc. through computer and visuals with LCD projector to the children who needs.
I am glad to inform that we have received a communication that my name has been selected for the presentation of late P.V. Narsimha Rao, former Prime-minister of India, life time Award for the year 2008-09.

I would like to mention to this August house that these land marks were achieved because of our collective continuous work and I can further say that if we strengthen our selves, we can achieve many more heights in the years to come.
Conducting staff meetings monthly once supervising the hostel works, Office works and maintenance works etc.
I am thankful to the SCCL management for engaging my services to this noble cause.
Last but not least my sincere thanks to the members of the executive committee of PAMENCAP and Chairman and Members of the Manochaitanya consultative committee and Chief Patrons and Patron of the PAMENCAP.
If I do not convey my whole hearted thanks to the staff of Manochaitanya, Samarth and Staff of the SC high school, Sector-I, I may not be justifying my duties.
